Krav maga is a self-defence class for beginners and slightly advanced adults from age 15, suitable for women and men, developing close-range technique, reactions in stressful situations and confidence.
Krav Maga (Hebrew: קְרַב מַגָּע, meaning “contact combat” or “close combat”) is a military self-defense system that combines techniques drawn from boxing, wrestling, Muay Thai, aikido, judo, and combat training.
It developed from the experience of Hungarian-Israeli fighter Imi Lichtenfeld, who, as a boxer and wrestler, used his training to defend the Jewish quarter against fascist groups in Bratislava in the 1930s.
Krav Maga focuses primarily on practical self-defense in everyday civilian life. It also addresses asymmetric situations in which the opponent is armed or has a numerical advantage. Thanks to its logical and comprehensive approach to conflict situations, it enables significant progress in a relatively short time.
Krav Maga lessons are intended for beginners who have no prior experience with this system and want to learn from the very basics. They are suitable for both women and men. The minimum age for participation is 15.
We recommend bringing a towel and comfortable clothing to training. We train barefoot.
