Easter Opening Hours
Friday 3/4 (Centrum 8 AM–3 PM, Jinonice closed), Saturday 4/4–Monday 6/4 (both locations closed)

A movement class focused on restoring healthy movement patterns, mobility and stability, suitable for beginners and athletes alike to help prevent muscle imbalances and overload.
Compensation training is based on the principles of developmental kinesiology. Instead of focusing on isolated activation of a single muscle or a specific muscle group, participants work on the natural coordination of the body as a whole. The goal is to activate muscular chains throughout the entire body, including the deep stabilizing muscles.
Developmental kinesiology describes natural human movement patterns and is also used by physiotherapists. Humans are born with an innate ability to move in a way that is optimal for the body, but modern lifestyle habits, low physical activity, injuries, or one-sided strain from sport or work often lead the body to adopt compensatory movement patterns. These can result in muscular imbalances and eventually in discomfort or pain.
These classes focus on preventing and helping correct existing physical issues caused by poor movement patterns and improper posture. Such issues often affect both sports performance and everyday life.
In class, we work on improving full-body mobility, increasing functional flexibility, and relearning coordinated whole-body muscle patterns. This helps improve joint stability and creates more stable movement overall. A natural result of this approach is also greater strength in both everyday and athletic activities.
You can expect mobility exercises, active stretching, animal-inspired movement, and elements of yoga, floor acrobatics, calisthenics, and gymnastics. Training uses bodyweight as well as various tools such as resistance bands, gymnastic rings, suspension systems, and external weights such as kettlebells and dumbbells.
The class is suitable both for complete beginners who want to improve their movement skills and prevent the painful consequences of poor movement habits, and for experienced athletes who may be at risk of muscular imbalances due to one-sided loading. Anyone can join regardless of gender, age, or fitness level.
Each class can be adjusted to suit all experience levels, and individual movements can be modified according to each person's specific needs.
All you need is a towel and comfortable clothing. Classes are done barefoot.
