Acrobatics and tricking classes for active beginners and slightly advanced participants, developing strength, coordination, agility, mobility, and confidence while learning basic acrobatic skills.
Acrobatics is a set of physical skills based on good overall fitness, above-average agility, and strong body control. Tricking is a discipline inspired by martial arts that combines flashy kicks, spins, and elements borrowed from gymnastics.
In these classes, we focus mainly on physical and conditioning work, which is essential for mastering acrobatic skills. We also train basic calisthenics movements such as push-ups, squats, pulls, leg raises, and handstands. The goal is to gradually learn acrobatic elements such as cartwheels, round-offs, handsprings, tornado kicks, macacos, butterfly kicks, backflips, and many others.
Although we work with foundational techniques, participants should already be able to handle basic gymnastics elements — a cartwheel, a forward roll, and a handstand against the wall. Otherwise, the classes are suitable for anyone without significant mobility limitations who is willing to face fear and push themselves further.
We recommend bringing a towel and comfortable clothing. We train barefoot.
